I bought this flat iron, after almost choosing the Chi.

I've heard many stories about Chi's breaking after a year, which of course means no warranty. I didn't want to waste money on something that wouldn't last, so I searched more until I found this flat iron. Many people that had/have Chi's said that this flat iron is better.



After using it for the first time, wow! My hair was very smooth, sleek, healthy-looking, and straight! (obviously)

I'm so glad I purchased this flat iron, I was sick of my old one damaging my hair and not straightening it, or keeping it pin-straight all day. This one doesn't damage my hair (always use heat defense before using), and it makes it look even healthier. It smooths all the frizz, and creates smooth, sleek, healthy looking straight hair.



I've only had to use this flat iron on setting 30 (30/50 x 450 degrees), so I use it at 270 degrees and it's able to fully straighten my hair and keep it straight all day, until the next wash. Never use higher heat than your hair needs! Before the Babyliss, I used Conair's $20 straighteners...for five years, actually. Those broke down once in a while, and when I got fed up with the static electricity that they put in my hair, I decided to invest in a more expensive brand--the Babyliss (which I found after thoroughly researching straighteners).



I definitely saw differences in the efficiency of each straightener. The Babyliss iron heats up VERY quickly, and retains the heat. Whereas I had to spend over 10 minutes (doing things in between waiting for the iron to reheat between swipes) straightening my hair imperfectly with the Conair brand, with the Babyliss I could straighten my hair in under 5...and yes, it was STRAIGHT. I also loved how it had a limited 4-year-warranty.



One of the cons of this iron is that it is so good at retaining heat that you have to be super careful. It is hard to hold onto the barrel when curling hair, and once I accidentally touched the plate a couple minutes after I had unplugged the appliance. It was painfully hot. Besides this, I would also like the Babyliss more if its shape was rounder, which allows, in my opinion, for nicer curls and flips. Check the customer images for the curls I made with the Babyliss, on my third attempt or so.



I would also be careful with handling the iron. It is not so sturdy. Mine actually broke to pieces in a check-in bag, so I used it for less than three weeks. It was good while it lasted. When it broke, I ordered a Le Angelique Pro, which is less expensive than the Babyliss and comes with a Lifetime Warranty, though it is not Nano Titanium or Ionic. I actually like my Le Angelique even more than this one, because it is less unbearably hot, it has a great round shape that makes for prettier curls, and I feel like it retains my hair's volume more. Perhaps I had set the Babyliss on too-high heat settings--my hair looked a bit flat when I straightened it.



Still, the Babyliss is a fantastic product that will make bad hair days history.

I love this straightener! I have had several others, including some professional models, that snagged my hair and caused it to break. This one didn't pull once! The plates are super smooth, and heat up quickly. I was worried that the plates are metal, because I've heard so much about ceramic, but I did a little reading and it seems that titanium is also good. After using it, this straightener did as good or better than ceramic units I've used--my hair was incredibly smooth and shiny. I used it for the first time before going out with a friend, and the first thing she said was "wow your hair looks great!"



I have thick wavy hair that is fairly difficult to straighten. I almost always use the highest setting on other flat irons, but on this one I was happy with one of the medium settings--it does get very, very hot on the higher settings! It was very easy to use though, especially with the narrow plates, and the shape of the casing makes it easy to flip hair around. I haven't tried curling with it yet, but I plan to!



Some folks have commented on a gap between the plates. There is a tiny gap of maybe 1mm, but unless you have very, VERY fine hair, it should be filled up (and then some) by the hair you are straightening. - Babyliss - Long Plates - Hair Straightener - Best Flat Iron'

I was renting a modem from Comcast for $4 per month which really was horrible. The modem would crash, reboot, not work, etc... I spoke to some Comcast tech's on Twitter and they recommended I go and buy this modem since it was not yet being distributed by them in my area. Voila, off to Amazon I went.



I purchased the modem, it arrived the next day. I turned everything off....router, computer, etc. The setup was as follows:



A. Plug cable into new modem.

B. Plug ethernet cable from modem to your computer (first time only).

C. Power up modem.

D. Power up computer.

E. For Comcast - Web page comes up that allows you to change your modem.

F. Enter some details....ie. your account number, etc.

G. DONE....shutdown modem, and plug ethernet cable to Router.

H. Enjoy DOCSIS 3.0



I have had this thing for a few weeks now and it works perfectly well on a daily basis. We are actually getting what we pay for...which was not the case with the old junk that comcast provided. We are getting about 60mbps down and 12mbps up...on a good day.

I bought this modem the other day because I felt my old SB5101 modem was not optimized for speed. I have a regular DOCSIS 2.0 service through Comcast. The modem made a huge impression on me after it was installed. The download and upload increased around 20 percent. The amazing thing is that this modem squeeze extra bandwidth out of your existing service (weather you have a standard basic megabyte connection or the newer DOCSIS 3.0 service high speed connection). The noticeable difference was the latency speed of the connection. When I click on a link on a web page, the page loads up as soon as the link is clicked. My old SB5101 modem would take a few extra milliseconds to load. What does this mean? If you play video games like Halo 3 via X-box or Call of duty, you will have a reaction time advantage against your competition. The clear negative of this product is that it takes longer to boot-up. If you power cycle the modem or if your internet service provider resets the modem, it will take two minutes to restart. It will take Comcast longer to recognize the modem when you call in to give the Mac address because when they reset the modem remotely, it will take two minutes for the modem to initialize. Once it is online it performs flawlessly. Anyone that buys this modem will benefit from the extra tweaks it has regardless if the are using a basic or super high speed internet service.

As I understand it, this is a great modem to use if you have a very expensive, extremely high speed internet package. The reason for this is that it has bonded channels technology that enables you to get more bandwidth (at high speeds) than the Motorola Surfboard 5120 or 5101. So if you have the top of the line internet package, and a very fast computer, and if the cable internet in your area supports DOCSIS 3.0, this thing could work screaming fast for you.



I do not have screaming fast internet, although my computer is pretty bleeding fast. I can't afford that kind of cost for a monthly subscription, because it is a constant and forever drain of a lot of money, and I don't earn that much money where I can do that.



I am located in the Phoenix, Arizona area, and have the $40/month Preferred internet package. My downstream bandwidth varies a lot by the time of day, it ranges between 13Mbps all the way up to about 23Mbps when almost everyone else is in bed sleeping.



My upstream bandwidth is capped real low, as with most consumer internet packages, so it hardly varies at all. It's almost always the same, at about 1Mbps.



If you want an accurate test of your internet bandwidth, do not use the main bandwidth testing sites. Their tests are way too short in duration and give you an extremely exaggerated notion of your top speeds. Go to testmy dot net and use the largest size tests they will allow you to.



Before purchasing this modem from an unnamed extremely large local retailer, I had read lots and lots of reviews saying that this modem dramatically improved the speed of relatively slow connections. I tested my bandwidth both before and after very thoroughly, both upstream and down. In the before part of my tests, I was using a Motorola Surfboard 5120. I saw absolutely no significant difference in either my upstream or downstream speeds after switching in the newer model. The reason this happened is because the 6120 is designed with the bonded channel DOCSIS 3.0 technology that provides you with more bandwidth *in very high speed applications only*.



So, if you have a bleeding fast internet connection, and your internet service provider supports DOCSIS 3.0 in your area, then you could see quite a large improvement in your bandwidth from this modem, according to everything I have read and heard. However, if like me, you cannot afford that speed of connection, you would be much better off saving your money and either keeping your Motorola Surboard 5120 or 5101, or getting one of those instead, since they are less expensive. - Comcast - Sb6120 - Surfboard - Motorola'

At a fraction of the cost of some other lens cleaner pens, this one really stands up. I can tell no difference from this one and my Nikon pen, other than the color. They appear to be built by the same manufacturer - essentially the same. Works great for removing dust and smudges from and around the camera lens. Great buy for sure. When I had originally ordered this product, I was sent a wrong item.

I contacted the seller, and they sent me a new one right away.



The cleaner is excellent, as it is very light and portable, and does its jobs.

With the brush, it is easy to clean dust on camera lenses, and any other LCD screens.

Also, the microfiber is also useful for getting rid of finger prints on LCDs or lens.



I recommend the seller as well as the product to my friends.

This is a great LensPen...as good as they come (many are just rebranded but otherwise identical). It's even way better than the more expensive Amazon brand lenspen, which I didn't care for at all. And since this one is available with Amazon Prime, it's a no-brainer. I'm ordering a few more!

More than I expected, for the price this is a great product, it has played every format I have in my external 500GB HDD with great video and sound quality.



These are the Pros I want to highlight:

1.Video & sound quality, this streamer supports up to 1080p and do it great, using HDMI cable the sound's great too.

2.Video modes, I like to watch my movies in full screen mode even if they come in 4:3 or 16:9, this device supports many video modes like: movie mode, subtitle mode, full screen mode, wide screen mode, etc, so no matter how is your movie formatted, you can always get your HDTV screen full.

3.Subtitles, I live in Costa Rica and although I'm doing OK with English I really like foreign films, especially oriental, and this device has no problems with subtitles, you can change position, size and even color.

4.Menu, it comes with a nice menu (isn't the PS3 menu, but come on), and I think the response time and reception from the remote is good, you don't need to be right in front of the device to make it work

5.Additional features, I just wanted a media streamer for the movies and videos in my HDD, however this device has some more features like Internet Radio, Picasa and Flickr access, UPnP streaming from PCs on your LAN, photo and audio files streaming, All of them works OK



And these are the Cons I found:

1.This device can read DVD .ISO images and load the entire menu on your screen, this is a really cool feature and it works most of the time, however I've had issues with some particular images, sometimes I can't enter to all the features on the menu, and sometimes it won't read the file at all, I don't know if there is some particular reason for that, maybe the software you use to make the image or something.

2.You must be careful when watching a movie to avoid touch the Menu of any other button on the remote that take you out of the movie because I haven't found any way to come back again to the point I was watching.

3.Don't lose the remote since there's no way to use the device without it.



Overall I really like this device, it's very functional, cheap and has cool features, I recommend this one if you're looking for something that do the job really well and is not so expensive. Hands down this Micca MPLAY-HD Net has been the perfect addition to our home! From being able to play everything we have asked it to do and even more. Had a WD HD TV player and this blows it away when compared to what it can do and it actually comes with a FULL sized remote and many cool features. Received this item 3 days earlier than expected date!! YEAH! Easy to hook up and update the firmware (you have to D/L the firmware from Micca online and use a USB drive)Has media slot for card reader and that is so cool when wanting to see on your TV photos you just took. HDMI hookup and user controls were awesome! Clarity, ease of use and simple straight forward menu choices makes it so much easier to understand and find what you wan to view or listen to. Wow.. tried the internet radio features and this is outstanding! Hooked up to 2 usb drive (1TB and 2TB) and had no problems in loading and finding all connected devices. Playback was so clear we thought we had a new TV! You can also copy and delete files from the drives too! That is amazing! (wish it could read PDF files... maybe in a future firmware update.. we hope!) So much more to try out.. but as of now.. this totally is exactly what we wanted and more! Yes, we would totally recommend this to family and friends. (even those who aren't electronically inclined or device impaired!)

So far it's run all my HD and AVI files. Easy to use. The only downside, as some others have said is that the remote control is a little weak and you have to point directly at the box. Very happy with this device.

I got this product mostly because it offered internet radio. It works great! I just plugged it into my Cisco wireless router and the internet radio came right up. Lots of variety. The audio quality of each station may vary, from so-so to very good.



I have used the USB input and briefly tried the upnp server feature. They both work, but sometimes the Micca needs to be restarted to see them properly. Also, while I was able to play or view jpg, avi, mpg, and mp3, I was not able to see mkv video that was on the upnp computer. With both usb and upnp, you use the Micca to control the browsing.



One final note - plan to use HDMI to connect to your receiver. I first tried the component cables and the audio quality was muddy. Using HDMI sends digital to your system, and I found the audio to be excellent when converted by my Marantz receiver.

I bought this media player so that i could watch tv shows i record using my Hauppauge WinTV HVR 950Q TV Tuner. I got tired of having to burn the shows onto a dvd-r to be able to watch what i recorded on my TV. Its super easy to use! if you know how to use a DVD player you know how to use this media player. as a backup i had my universal remote learn the commands from the media players remote control

Check out my updating youtube videos. I am user: "PentaxWG1" The good the bad the ugly. The over all feel of this camera is strong and gripable. I love having metal and rubber on my electronics. I have dropped this camera. It was on my lap in the jeep and there was a hornet. I jumped out and it threw to the ground. No problems. The removable circle around the lens (macro stand) has threads. They are 46mm and can screw on filters and caps. I got a cap, uv filter, polorized filter, and flourecent filter on e-bay for $6. So other than the sony TX10, this is the only camera that can protect the lens. Can't wait to buy a telescopic lens. My camera has been underwater about 15 ft. I've seen no problems with leaking. It has two openeings; one for battery and sd card, and one for hd/av hook-up. Both seem strong and sturdy to me. Battery cover does move ever so slightly but seems fine. Ok, thats the construction. As you have already heard, the macro/super macro is awesome. If you can get your specimen to sit still, you can get some pretty great material. The movie macro is even pretty cool, but you have to stay at a consistant focal length or it gets blury. I recorded a wolf spider in pitch black and the l.e.d. lights around the lens made it look like a monster movie! One bad thing about the macro is that when set straight down on the subject it will focus and take the picture on something as flat as a leaf or picture.... if it protrudes as much as a dime width or more it won't stay focused. But when I pulled back just a hair the dime did look awsome. N-E-Wayz, It seems the closer you are to the subject with this camera the better it looks. A closer shot of two people, shoulders and up, look really good. But further away not so much. pictures of groups of people (full body) or the shot of a pond or a... cow...I say the camera is about par. Not bad but not great. I have tried the cybershot TX10 and if you strictly want waterproof picture quality go that way or panasonic. TX10 was beautiful but not as fun. Back to the WG-1. With par pics I do feel the camera is more consistant than its predesessor w90. Better with stand, free hand not as good..but always the same. Never a crappy picture out of nowhere. I also feel it does much better in lower light than the w90. It gets noisey but I was getting decent lighted shots (no flash) in areas that where very dim to the naked eye. The l.e.d. lights are handy, too. Optical zoom works pretty well for pictures. You'll want a steady hand or stand if zoomed all the way in. Digital zoom sucks. The panorama is not sweep. You take 3 pics and line them up, then the camera stitches them. Not as convinient as the TX10 but it looks good and you can do tricks...As for underwater. Pictures and video where pretty darn good. Anti shake or wudever made it pretty smooth. With video underwater or above the zoom works but it doesn't refocus very well. But over all regular video was better than I expected. Once again when things are close it seems very virbrant. I got about a foot from a cow's face and the fur on his head got very HiDef-ish. Battery life....sucks, but I got and extra generic one when I ordered mine for 6 bucks. Over-all I really love this camera. I've been totally entertained for 2 days and havn't even gotten to time lapse phtography yet. Although I do think of the pic quality of the TX10 now and then. I would have been bored with that camera after one dip in the lake. I can get a 10 mp zoom camera for less than a hundred and fill in anywhere the wg-1 lack. The most fantasticly durrible camera I have ever seen. I have litterally tossed this thing around just for the fun of it, and it withstands anything.

Performs great underwater. A few bubbles come out of the power button which scared me at first, but it's normal.

The battery charges only through an external charger (so it can have less waterproof ports I suppose)

I am using a 16gb SD card which works great in it. Screen is comfortably large and bright.

Digital microscope blew my mind with the clarity and detail that can be achieved. Zoom is reasonable.

Pictures have a dramatic feel to them with great contrast.

Software is easy to use, and took me about an hour to know every feature. Great photo editing software is BUILT INTO THE CAMERA to do whatever effects you need done.

Self-portrait mode is a little bit flaky but very interesting none the less. Who uses facial recognition anyway, really? lol.

The feel of the camera is phenomenal. Rubber and very hard grippy plastic cover the whole camera, and gives a very rugged and tough feel, but it is such a tiny lightweight package.

Manual zoom, focus, aperture, and ISO come in very handy.

All in all a fantastic camera, worth every penny. :)

We owned a Pentax's first waterproof camera (Optio W10) and loved it. So when it came time to upgrade we bought this one before our trip to Mexico. We choose this one because of its ergonomic design. We figured this would work wonders when splashing around underwater and be easy to hold onto. The ergonomic design is the only redeeming feature of this camera.



At first we were concerned about how loose the battery door was. The battery door stayed shut but it would slide partially open when closed and was very loose (not enough for water to actually get in but enough to make us concerned). Thinking it might just be the camera we picked up, we went back to the store where we bought it from. After looking at other ones it appears to be part of the design. This should have been our first clue that this is a horrible camera.



While on vacation in Mexico the camera froze several times requiring the battery to be removed to get it to unfreeze. Now this can be a true problem when you need to let the camera dry for about an hour before opening the battery door otherwise you risk exposing both the battery and memory card to water.



We also discovered small water spots on the inside of the display screen. Clearly it is not as waterproof as claimed. I am glad we were only using it while wading in the ocean and not actually snorkelling.



The battery life is extremely poor requiring charging every two days when the camera is moderately used.



We also found the image quality not that good. After returning from our vacation, we looked at old images from our previous camera (Optio W10) and they were much better even though it was only 6 megapixels. In fact the same picture taken with our iPhone 3Gs had a better image quality.

I have had this mat for three months, using 3-4 times a week for a 1 hour class, and it falling apart, coming into pieces all over, and now on my clothes. I have never had this happen with a mat, and I have three other ones I still use that are nearly 5 years old. But this was a gift and I guess I broke it in! And I am only 158lbs and not used in a power yoga class...just a standard Astanga. Gaiam Tree of Life Yoga Mat

Upon purchasing this mat I was very pleased, loving the design and stickiness. I have only been doing yoga for 5 months and my mat is already stretching. I was not sure what to look for in a mat, and should have done some research first. When in down-dog my mat stretches and sort of bunches up in front of my fingers and behind my toes. It has also never flattened completely.

I'll be honest this is my very first yoga mat but I can't believe I waited so long to get one. This mat is good and sticky. It really helps me reach my full length in various poses such as downward facing dog and even bending forward in cobbler's pose etc.



I have noticed a smell of plastic when my nose is pushed up to the mat but no other time. I do not have any sensitivity to chemical smells but I do live in a house with someone who does and he can't smell a thing. I have only had it a few days; however I expect the smell will eventually be undetectable even up close, much like a new car.



The color is very pretty, a soothing green with a light greenish-yellow tree. The tree is screened on. Some people may feel this is a bad thing as screened on images sometimes begin to peel off. This image appears to be very secure to the surface and I have no such worry.

I've had this mat for about a month, using it 3x per week. It's decent. It doesn't smell of chemicals/plastic unless my nose is really close to the mat, and even then it's a rather faint smell. Aside from a tiny bit of curled up edge - easily fixed with a quick reverse roll - my mat laid flat the very first time I unrolled it. The colour and tree screen print are attractive - I'm very partial to sage green though.



Downside: The foam isn't very dense, and I can often feel the floor. For me this is a huge drawback as I have sensitive bony areas that end up pressed uncomfortably (and sometimes painfully)into the hard floor during particular asanas. I'm fine with the thickness of the mat, but I would have preferred a denser material. Also, It IS quite slippery. It grips the floor nicely, but my hands slip all over the place when I'm in downward dog - so annoying!



It is what it is for the price. I'll continue to use it for now, but I wouldn't purchase it again.

I am very disappointed with this mat - my hands and feet slide all over the place when I try to use it. In the end i gave up, and halfway through class went to get one of the class mats out of the cupboard. I have yet to find out whether Gaiam will give me a refund without charging me for the return shipping.

I just paid full price for this mat at a retail location and am very disappointed. When I plant my hands down for a pose, I don't expect my hands to start slipping around (especially if my leg is dangling precariously in the air). I kept having to readjust my hands, which resulted in constant disruptions to my workout. Not good. Not to mention it did not provide enough cushion for my knees and elbows, which felt bruised the day after my workouts.



I will now be looking around for a better quality mat.

First of all, it doesn't look like this at all. It's a darker, more forest green with a barely visible lighter green pattern. The pattern is the same, you just can't see it very well! This mat is super stinky (plastic-y chemical smell) when first unrolled, but most printed mats are. Just unroll it and let it air out somewhere. This is not great for hot yoga because it doesn't clean well (falls apart after a while, super slippery, stinky, bunches up). It does stretch after just a couple months of regular use. It's good to get started with because it is cheap and you can certainly learn some basics on it. Just save your money in the meantime to get something more durable!

This mat literally stinks. The plastic/chemical smell STILL gives me a headache 6 months after purchase. I use it 1-2 times per week but to this day childs pose/anything where my face has to be close to the mat is unenjoyable. - Mat - Yoga Mats - Yoga Mat - Yoga'

These laminating pouches are the same or better than other brands purchased through retail stores. What's the catch? There isn't any. You get a terrific product at an unbelievably reasonable price. You can't go wrong, in my opinion. 3 Mil Clear Letter Size Thermal Laminating Pouches 9 X 11.5 (Qty 100) (03NPSM)

After taking a look at the prices being charged for laminating pouches at big-box office stores, I decide to see if Amazon might sell them for less. I was pleasantly surprised to find these for a fraction of what the office stores charge. After using about 30 of them I can verify they are every bit as good as the more expensive options. All sealed flawlessly with no bubbles, creases, or irregularities in adhesion. They are not as thick as some pouches out there, but for my application that was not a factor.



If you want to save yourself some money, buy these from Amazon not your local office store. They're just as good and much less expensive!

I bought a Purple Cows laminator at Costco for cheap, and these laminating pouches work wonderfully in the laminator. I know that use of anything but Purple Cows brand laminating pouches voids the warranty on the laminator, but it was well worth the risk to avoid spending too much on laminating pouches. I bought two of these packages of 100 pouches, and I have already used most of them up, with very few issues throughout all the lamination. Any issues were due to my lack of skill in loading the laminating pouches in a straight line into the laminating machine. Other than my lack of skill, I had no problems getting the pouches to seal smoothly.

These pouches are excellent. They're hinged on one short end, making it very simple to get materials inside. I bought them for use with my ProvoCraft YourStory 37-5000 Book Binder and Laminator, and they work perfectly -- I would bet they are the exact same pouches ProvoCraft uses, reselling them from Universal. Can't find any difference, except a massive price difference. Provocraft sells them for $4 for 12 pouches, or about 33 cents each. Here, they're less than half that price.

I have found that these are not as trouble free as the name brand ones. While they do not seem to have many bubbles, several of them (about 1 in 6) have almost seemed to warp after going through the laminator. Otherwise, what can I say? They seal well and you can trim very close to the laminated paper. One thing to note is that there seems to be very rampant price fluctuations on the product with lots of sellers (Amazon not always an option) - so check the list of sellers before buying!'

I purchased this headset to match my Xbox 360 250GB Halo Reach Console Bundle. The headset looks great, comes with a USB power charger, additional earpiece, and instruction manual. It looks and feels rugged too which I like. It is definitely not flimsy by any means.



Voice clarity is great, good range on it...I go outside of my house to smoke a cigarette in between games and I can still talk to my friends on it and hear them just fine. Charges quick and last about 8 hours of gaming before another quick charge is needed.

The headset works beautifully. Charges with your Xbox 360 (have to leave it powered on) or with your PC's USB ports. It comes with two sizes for the over the ear portion of the headset. Those may be okay for most folks, but it would be nice to have a third larger size. The larger of the included two fits my ear, but after 20 minutes or so, it starts to hurt. So, one star for a lack of consideration for those of us with bigger ears.

My friends and I went out and picked this up. It's a very cool looking headset and sounds great. It feels good not having something over your head all the time. Only complaint and maybe it's just me is the headset after about 40 mins starts to hurt my ears bad, so bad I have to take it off for a few mins. Now all of my friends say they love the headset and it's very comfortable and it's probably just me. I don't know maybe I'm putting it on wrong or something, but it looks right. Again, might just be me.

Bought this Xbox Wireless Headset shortly after my standard headset broke, I do have to say that is super confortable. It charges with about 3-4 hrs connected and is good for a couple of days depending on your daily gameplay. Mine usually lasts about a week before i have to charge it again playing about two hours a day. Not Bad at all. Great buy !

I purchased this To replace the wired headset included with my xbox. The wired headset works just fine but can be a real pain when you want to grad a drink or snack and don't feel like taking your controller with you. The wireless headset has a great range, I can go about 20 - 30 ft away from my xbox before it starts to crackle. The battery life was one of my concerns going in but I found I get about 8 - 10 hours of play time before recharge (which only takes about 2 - 3 hours to fully recharge). Also the wireless headset seems to be more comfotable and doesn't encompass your whole head. Overall this is great product, the convience really out does the price and I think it's a must have for the regularly playing gamer.

Great, comfortable headset with two different sized rubber rings to fit your ear size in the Halo: Reach colors. Sounds much clearer than the corded headsets out there, both for the wearer and the person on the other end. Lasts at least 6 hours for one charge and is clear up to 25 feet. Just remember to take it off (or mute it) before going to pee!

i bought this headset for my teenage son because I was tired of dropping $10-$20 on the cheap wired sets. We received it 5 days before the scheduled delivery date. It was SUPER easy to sync up and the sound quality is great. My son says that everything is perfectly clear, better than the wired sets he's had before. Also background noise tends to be an issue for him because he has two younger brothers; but he says that his friends can't hear them on the new headset unless they are REALLY loud. Perfect!



Another cool feature that we didn't expect was the battery indicator that shows up on the screen along with the wireless controller battery life. So far the battery life seems to be good. My son is VERY happy with this, and he's quite a critic when it comes to his xbox.

My husband had already bought the Halo Reach XBox edition, with the Halo controllers and all. I never cared that he loved to play and have a bunch a guys over.. But I didn't like how nerdy he looked wearing that dumb headset that's standard with the set. I needed a different alternative, something that didn't distract me from how awesome-looking my guy really is. So, needless to say, I bought this for him as a gift, and he looks way cooler, and all his buddies are jealous. Oh ya, and he said it works pretty good too, no issues yet.

I bought this for my X-box crazy son. He has gone through several headsets. This is nice because I can talk to him and he can hear me while he is playing. It also is nice because he can just hit a button on the side and talk back to me. He seems to realy like it. It was easy to set up and he can walk upstairs to get a snack and still converse with his buddies. Plus, there is not the cord to trip over or to get tangled up in. Which is how several other headsets have gotten stepped on.

The build quality of this product is great and the charge seems to last a good deal of time. Its audio clarity is better and it's more comfortable to wear than my wired headset (Plantronics GameCom X10 - Headset ( semi-open )). My only complaint is that it is very particular about how you have to turn it on (before any controller) so that it is paired with one controller when trying to use the wired headset with a second controller (when using 2 XBOX Live accounts). Another nice feature is that the XBOX charges this thing even when the system is off (I have a PS3 as well and it does not provide power to the USB ports when off). A parital reason I decided to go with Sony for my new HD3dTV was the performance of the the 3d shutter glasses and their comfort. Glasses are not really the correct terms as these are more like goggles that will fit over a pair of regular glasses. They are totaly enclosed and shut out most light from the tops and sides. They do dim the picture a bit but most 3dTV's compensate for this by getting much brighter in 3d mode. They work well with in the the range they are intended. If you tilt your head more than 10 degrees of so either left or right the 3d effect is lost. Opperation is simple with a single button to push on and off. They're semi adjustable for those with smaller heads but if you have small children like me then you will need to get the BR50's which are narrower lighter and more like a regular pair of glasses. Part of what I enjoyed was the fact that they do block most ambient light from all but in front. They are fairly hefty and you will start to feel their wieght right about the time the credits role in a two hour movie, but then I don't normally wear glasses and I start to feel that way after two hours in a pair of sunshades, YMMV. Unlike the Panasonics and Samsungs glasses I tried, you can still opperate a laptop or anything else with them on and not get a lot of flicker. The other brands tended to cause every other light source to flicker except for the TV's which only flickered when the glasses were out of sync. The Sony's sync very qucikly and don't reset during bright parts of the movie ala the Panasonics. They could be lighter but frankly they feel quite sturdy and not nearly as fragile FEELING as other brands I've tried. They are battery powered by a standard CR2032 watch battery and last for about 80 hours of viewing. If you watched a 2 hour 3d movie every night, plus a football game every week they'd last just over a month. That was a concern for me until I did the math. The Sony sell for about $100 vs the other brand reacharbles which go for $150. With batteries selling for about $8 for a pack of 10 it would take 4 years of watching at that rate to see any savings on the rechargables. Sounds like most of the bad reviews are user error.

I do wish Sony would just integrate their transmitter with their 3d TVs.

I install 3d TVs all the time for a Home Theater company.

I personally think Sony has the best 3d. Samsung and Panasonic are great to.

Don't even mess with Mitsubishi, too many compatibility issues.

As for the Sony glasses, I think they are the most durable.

As for a Blu-Ray player, just get a Playstation. It updates automatically, 3d games are awesome, Gran Turismo 3d is out of this world.

When I first connected the 3D transmitter to the TV and tried watching a 3D Blu-ray, I encountered a few break-ups of the 3D experience. It was then that I discovered I had the transmitter pointing toward the TV and not toward me. Once that was corrected, the break-ups stopped. I'm actually surprised they managed to work as well as they did before I discovered my problem.



The glasses shut-off automatically only when there is no 3D signal. That's done to save batteries. As long as you're watching a 3D feature, the glasses continue operating without any problems at all.

We ordered the 3D starter kit from Sony which included two pairs of these glasses; we have now used them for 3D viewing for a few weeks now.



My first impression was they were heavy and tight on my head; I discovered later that the frames temples can be adjusted to better fit each individual wearer very easily. Now they fit much better and are reasonably comfortable. My wife needs glasses to watch the TV and these 3D glasses fit over her other glasses very nicely.



I believe that the glasses must be turned on by pressing a small switch on the right side; as one reviewer has pointed out the glasses turn themselves off after 5 minutes with no 3D signal from the transmitter. The soft case is a little tight but the glasses can be worked in with some care.



As an audio/video hobbyist I have often found myself on the cutting edge of technology (occasionally known as the bleeding edge). The question now is how will this technology progress; will it die on the vine or blossom into something very special. I cannot answer that question at this time but must acknowledge that I have been encouraged by the promotional disc sent to me by Sony, "3D World."



This was sent because I purchased a Sony HDTV and has some very remarkable footage on it. The most exciting to me was a video of a football game; the depth of field was the best I have ever seen anywhere. One could look at the action in the foreground and see sharp images in motion; but then look at the people standing on the far side of the field and see clear sharp images in the distance as well. This was far and away the most realistic use of 3D I have ever seen and it was all actual footage, not animation.



The reason I mention this is that it encourages me to think about what might be done in the future as engineering and production expertise develops and improves. This is new technology and I have often experienced the progression in quality as experience enhances the results. I have seen a few other 3D films but none have even come close to the quality shown in this promotional disc!



If the industry as a whole can begin to incorporate the improvements shown in this disc, the world of 3D reproduction for the home is going to be a very exciting place. Having purchased a 3D TV and all of the required accessories, I truly hope this happens!



In the meantime prices will probably come down if the technology takes off; if you're willing to take the chance, the 3D experience right now is entertaining and filled with hope. - Bravia - 240hz - Video Glasses - 3d Movies'

The xbox 360 slim with 4 GB. is what the original arcade version should have been, and is definitely worth its $200 price tag.

10 new features of this model are:

1. New Valhalla chip - hopefully improved design to prevent RRoD issue, but tech. reviews noted that the Jasper chip in the older Elite model runs cooler

2. WiFi N - this is the newest wifi standard that is 12X faster (up to 600 Mbits/ sec) than wifi G; you'll need a Wifi N router to get the max. speed

3. digital optical audio port (if your sound system is separate from your TV, then you'll need this to get full 5.1 surround sound)

4. 4 GB of flash memory (although 1.1 GB is used by the game system, but 0.3 GB can be reclaimed by deleting 4 game demos)

5. 5 USB ports (2 in front & 3 in back)

6. slimmer design with side vents (to prevent overheating)

7. dedicated Kinect port (just a convenience feature)

8. only 1 year of warranty (the only negative; older Elite models had 3 yrs.)

9. USB flash drive support (this was a xbox software update released in April 2010)

10. ESPN video streaming (will be included if you are a Gold member, $50/ yr.; should be available about Dec. 2010)



Slim 4 GB vs. 250 GB hard drive:

I bought the 4 GB system over the model with 250 GB hard drive because the xbox now supports game saves/ installs/ downloads and pic/ audio/ video downloads to USB flash drives. It supports 1-2 USB flash drives with 1-16 GB memory (using a 16 GB drive, 1.6 GB is used for formatting). Saving games and media to the USB drives is recommended since loading games and media will be much faster (reading memory is faster than reading hard drive) and more reliable (flash memory rarely fails, unlike hard drives); even the xbox live director recommended using USB drives for storage. If you have such a huge appetite for videos downloads and game demos that 32 GB can not accomodate, then you can always upgrade later with the 250 GB hard drive that will be sold in November; note that the older xbox hard drives are NOT compatible with the slim models. Installing xbox 360 games and game demos on the flash drives is no problem; xbox will ask you which drive to install the game. However, I can not verify if you can install older xbox games like Halo on the flash drive. The only xbox game I have is Halo 2, which does not install on flash. This problem may be specific to Halo 2 because even xbox live does not have Halo 2 for sale, which means Halo 2 is not supported without a xbox hard drive. I'm suspecting that any older games listed on xbox live is enabled for flash installation, but if they're not listed then you'll need a xbox hard drive. This is annoying but not a big issue since there are only a few older xbox games that you may want to play.



XBOX vs. PS3:

I am originally a PS3 and Wii gamer, but finally bought the xbox when the slim 4 GB model was released. To be competitive with the PS3, the xbox had to have the built-in wifi, optical audio port, and USB flash drive support. I was deciding whether to buy another PS3 for $300 since many games require 2 consoles for coop and multiplayer gaming, regardless of what system you choose. With this xbox priced at $200, I decided to choose the xbox since it has better coop games, more online gaming, and their video library blows away the PS3 online videos. However, Netflix on xbox requires gold membership and starting a movie is a lot slower than the PS3 eventhough the xbox has faster wifi. Xbox music and music videos library needs to expand to the size of their TV and movies selection to be comparable with iTunes. The PS3 has better graphics though not significantly better (expected since PS3 has a better processor), but the XBOX has better coop and multiplayer games. The PS3 controller is better designed, better constructed, and has a rechargeable battery; the D-pad on the included xbox controller creaked without even playing a single game. Also, the PS3 has a Blu-Ray player, but is $100 more than the xbox slim 4 GB model. The button to open the disc tray on the xbox is too sensitive and not recessed, so slightly brushing it with your clothes will activate it. The xbox Kinect has more features and better specs. than the PS3 Move. With my Wii collecting dust, I decided to wait to see if games for the Kinect are a flop, similar to how many games for the Wii flopped. Anyways by June 2011, Kinect games should be 1/2 price with better selection.



Halo Reach Update:

You can not play Halo Reach coop online without a hard drive; using a USB flash drive does not fix the problem. Microsoft has confirmed this problem, so don't buy this system if coop online is important to you. The official XBOX FAQ is: "One or more players do not have a certified Xbox 360 hard drive attached to their Xbox 360 console. Some multiplayer aspects of Halo: Reach require an Xbox 360 certified hard drive." Microsoft said they are working on a fix, but Halo ODST had the same problem and that wasn't fixed!

Got my laser very quick. This laser claims to be 100mW. Not sure if that's true. I have a 125mW laser that can cut electrical tape and is extemely bright. This laser will not pop balloons or burn through plastic. Even when laser is put on skin there is very little heat. For $36 this is a great laser and a great bargan for the price but it is no way close to 100mW's. I have collected green laser since they first hit the market 10 years ago and I am very familiar with laser power output. I recomend you do buy this laser for being very powerful for $36 but don't expect this to be a burning machine like you would expect from a 100+mW laser pointer. 100mW 532nm High Power Fixed Focus Green Laser for Astronomy, Military, Law Enforcement Use.

For the price, this is a very bright laser! I had bought a similar product from eBay years ago (in the range of $40-$50 I believe) and this product definitely outperforms it. I use this product mainly to point out stars and it serves its purpose very well.



I do not know what the requirements (in mW) for popping balloons or cutting electrical tape are, but this, unfortunately, does neither. That said, I can still clearly shine on an object miles away at night. During the day, the dot is still visible within 300ft or so. If there were an easy way to measure the mW I would post that info here, but after searching around the web, I was not able to find any way to do so.



All in all, it's a great pen for the price. Popping balloons would be a fun party trick (perhaps there is a way to mod this?) but for my purposes, it works great and I would buy it again!

I read the reviews and was wishy washy about this, but I decided to go for it.



AWESOME and worth it. I can shoot this thing extremely far and my friend like 9 blocks away can see the dot hitting a water tower.



**GET RID OF THE BATTERIES WHEN YOU GET IT** the ones they give are utter crap, and I put Duracell ones in and it worked literally 10x better.



I can pop balloons with a black dot on it, and I can make paper smoke. I haven't burned through paper, but it DOES smoke when there's a black dot.

This is a good laser, 100mw? Probably not, but probably between 50-100. What makes me give a 5 star rating though is the customer service. Bynovel has had by far the best customer service that I have experienced. I first bought a laser and was not happy with my use of 40$, with the shipping, and emailed him about it. I shipped him the one I was not happy with, and received a different one that is much better. For this level of customer service, bynovel deserves 5 stars, and the laser is pretty good quality as well.

After having ordered and received a less expensive green laser pen from Amazon that was just pathetic, I ordered this one. WOW! What a difference! This thing is BRIGHT! Where the cheap one was barely visible, this puppy really screams. My only criticism is that at 30 feet, the dot is about the size of a nickel. It isn't pinpoint, that's for sure... but it does what I need it to. Arrived promptly and in good condition, I'm very pleased.

I have 4 other lasers at 100mW, This is the first to pop a black balloon under 45sec. For a 100mW this is feat. The product is VERY sturdy, Button is 100% on, or 100% off. The batteries that come with are great. I used them to test it. After 10minutes of constant use, the laser only shows 80-85mW (min). When I added Energizer Lithium Ions, the lowest was 89mW. For anyone new to lasers, this is high quality. A lot of lasers start losing a lot of power after 3-4min of constant use, but not this one! It can burn electric tape, which is a bit shocking since it's only a 100mW laser. The impact point is tiny, focused, and very little light escape around the impact point; This increases your chances of burning thing.



Lastly, at night the laser is brilliant! As far as I can tell the laser doesn't 'unfold'. The beam is very visible. In-door the impact point illuminates the room. Which brings me to say: If you use this laser in door BE CAREFUL, I would strongly advise goggles. I can't look at the dot (impact point) for more than a few seconds, It's 'that' bright!



In my honest opinion, you will NOT be finding a laser of this quality anywhere else for the price. I have a laser from -Wicked lasers- of the same power, and this one is brighter.

I am happy with the laser that I got. Can't comment on accuracy of the power rating of the laser however with a fresh set of batteries it is able to pop black balloons and burn small holes through thin black plastic. Not near powerful enough to cut through electrical tape but at this price I wouldn't expect it to. The batteries that were included were pretty weak but most batteries that are included with electronics/toys are usually cheap junk batteries anyways so no surprised there. It was much better once put a fresh set of batteries in them! Got it through ByNovel and I am very happy with the product and service from them.'

This is a good looking controller, with some improvements over the original design. A lot of people are complaining about the lack of color on the a,b,x,y buttons, but I don't need them to have color anyway.



I like the new texture of the controller. It isn't a slippery surface and has a little tackier/rougher feel. Makes it easier to hold onto if your hands sweat. I also like that they added a bit of resistance to the thumbsticks. This should also help fix the problem of the thumbsticks getting "floaty" after some use. The trigger buttons also now have a curve, but doesn't really have an impact on use or feel for me, but okay design.



On to the directional pad. It still sucks. It is neat that you can convert it to a raised plus shape or more of a flat shape, but the underlying problem is still there. The d-pad is still on top of a disk, which makes it imprecise. I was trying to enter character names last night and had to use the thumbstick because the d-pad is so inaccurate. I would love it if they went to the ps3 style d-pad that is just four digital buttons instead of basically an analog directional pad.

OK, when I first heard about this controller the first thing I said was about time!!! I am one of the very few people that prefer the PS3 controller, mainly due to the D-Pad. But for shooters the 360 controller cant be beat. But since day one the 360 has had that horrible D-Pad. So obviously when I heard about the new transforming D-Pad I had high hopes.



The main reason (if not the only reason) I bought this was for Fallout New Vegas. If you are familiar with it or Fallout 3 you know that you can "hot key" your weapons, etc to the D-Pad. Well because of how bad the original D-Pad was I would only use up, down, left, and right. If you tried to use ANY of the diagonal keys you would end up in BAD situations pulling the wrong weapon as a Deathclaw is storming at you and you really need your missile launcher, and you accidentally pull out a pistol.



In New Vegas up is already designated as your "change ammo type", so that leaves only 3 other reliable slots. So when I heard about this new controller and its "improved" D-Pad I thought awesome finally I can hot key more weapons, and not always have to open my pip boy to get to the right weapon. Well, I ordered it, and paid for one day shipping which was only 9.98, and the controller itself was only 51.99, even thought it retails everywhere else for 64.99.



So it came yesterday (ironically while I was playing New Vegas), so I decided to test it out. I hot keyed 7 weapons, and tried to use the D-Pad to pull out the right weapon. I tried it with just the plus (+), and then with the whole disc, and strangely it worked better for the diagonal presses when it was in the plus (+) formation then it did as the disc. And the results are overall just barely better. It still would pull out the wrong weapon about 1 out of every 3 times, when it use to be like 2 out of 3.



Another great test is to open up a message on your 360, and try to navigate the qwerty keyboard with the D-Pad only. You'll see how bad the D-Pad is, and that it is CONSTANTLY moving up when you press left, down when you press right, etc. Now if it were up to me, and I was a controller designer the perfect D-Pad would be a cross between the 360, and PS3 D-Pads. It would have separated up, down, left, and right like the PS3, but instead of a disc shape for the diagonal, it would have independent sections for diagonal. So that you would be able to properly press the direction you are intending. Ill try to insert a drawing of what I mean if I can.



But anyway to sum up the review I would say, unless you really need the plus shaped D-Pad for a game, then its not worth it. The new color scheme is kinda cool, but if you rely on the button colors for a game like Fable 3, then this ones not for you. The buttons are white, black, and grey now. I watched an interview with the main designer of XBOX equipment about this controller, and he mentioned several times that the improvements would help with fighting games, and maybe they have. I cant comment on that since I dont play fighting games. But for me, it wasn't worth it.



UPDATE: 11/18/2010



Ok, after using this for a couple weeks I felt I should update the review. I guess by using it for awhile it loosened up a little. Because now it works perfect. I can use all 8 directions in both modes. (plus and circle). And it works right now. I can pick the correct weapons that Im trying to. But when I try to use it for messaging its still constantly going diagonal when I need down, etc. So depending on what your using it for give it a chance. And just know that after a few days/ weeks (depending on how much you use it) it will get better with time. I received only six hooks with my original order, but the seller promptly sent me the rest of the order with no hassle after I contacted them. These hooks seem as well made as the one I received with my Motorola H790, and I have been using the first one for the past month or so without any problems. It fit the headset just fine and actually seems more comfortable than the original. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these if you need a replacement. As long as you're careful not to bend the hook too much when you're putting the headset on--which is easy to do--I don't think breakage will be more of a problem than with the original. 12 Pieces (6-clear/6-black) Earhook Ear Hook Clip Loop Replacement Compatible with Following Bluetooth Headset

Ordered 12 received 18. The clear ones are a little thicker than the black ones. The black are maybe a little more flexible, but I would push that. Not as sturdy as some of the clear fexible units around at higher cost. For the price and quantity, these are a very good deal.

I at first received the wrong size for my bluetooth, and emailed them to let them know what had happened, and they sent me the correct size and I sent to wrong size back with no problem.

The product description clearly lists fitting the LG HBM-760. Be advised it does not replace the old earhook the same way. Instead of clipping into the previous mounting point, this hook has to be forced over the speaker mounting point. It's a tight fit and the old mounting point is simply no longer used. It would be nice if they provided these instructions as this change was not obvious at all (at least not to me).

These things are worthless! Once you snap them onto your bluetooth - if you try to rotate the ear hook it will snap. Be sure to carry the whole bag with you, you'll be replacing it about once per day.'
