Micro Usb Cable - micro usb cable, android

This is the second time that I am reviewing this, because somehow the company DELETED my previous negative review.

United Integral says that this is a "Blackberry" cable and even uses a picture (illegally) of a Blackberry cable, an OEM one. This cable is NOT Blackberry and doesn't work as a data and charging cable for my phone. DO NOT PURCHASE this if you want a cable that works.

United Integral told me that they are sorry for the "Listing Error". United Integral even had the audacity to ask that I reconsider my review (then they had it deleted) and I told them that I would not because I don't want other buyers to get defrauded by them. AND, they still have not changed the listing. BlackBerry USB Cable Micro USB 1.0m (Black)

I should have noticed the review another customer posted previously, but missed it. This cable is not a micro usb as advertised, it is a mini usb which is larger and NOT the new standard most phones are using. The cable does not fit the droid which requires a micro usb connection. The item description needs to be changed, it is not accurate.

yea thanks for misleading me on this one. i'm sure it's a great cable...just not for the phone i need it for. this is a mini usb, not micro. it will not fit the droid i need it for. luckily, i can put these cables to use because i always need these type of cables for cameras and stuff....but not what i ordered them for.

This is the first review I've ever written on Amazon. I have not had a bad experience until this one. I ordered 3 of these cables because I have had blackberry's in the past and the cables worked on my Evo. The earlier reviews rated this item very well and that is what convinced me to purchase these. The OEM shop sent me Micro USB cables and have not responded to any emails. Horrible customer service and now I have 3 usb cables that I can't use. BUYER BEWARE OF THE OEM SHOP!!!! It's been over a week and I still have no response.

The product wasn't a blackberry cable. It was a generic, and not even a decent one at that. It didn't work with my phones, unlike other generic micro USB cables I've purchased (at least mine was micro, and not mini which some reviewers received). All I can say is that it was cheap. Considering the dirt cheap price, it wasn't even worth my time to try to return them.

This cable is much thinner than the cable that came with my Motorola Droid. Other than looking too thin, it looked like a fine cable. This cable worked for a week, then stopped working. You get what you pay for. This cable is cheap and cheaply made. Don't buy it. - Micro Usb Cable - Usb Cable - Charge - Android'

Environmentally Friendly - paper shredder, fellowes

I agree with most other reviewers of this product. These bags are vastly *inferior* to the bags which ship with the shredder. I also contacted Fellowes, and they said that the bags which ship with the unit are unavailable for purchase. These inferior bags are the only bags they sell. This is unfortunate, because the shredder is first quality, and the are blemishing the Fellowes brand by selling inferior bags.

I should have read the reviews before I purchased these bags, as I would have looked elsewhere. I was told by Fellowes that the # 36053 (not sold by Amazon) bags are slightly thicker and larger but still not nearly as good as the bags which ship with the unit.

Overall I am disappointed in the response of Fellowes. In this difficult economy one would hope they would be interested in both (a) earning more money and (b) responding to customer complaints by selling a better product. Fellowes Powershred Waste Bags for Personal Shredders - 100 Bags

They fit the shredder, and it's really great to not have to empty the basket by turning it upside down, then pulling off all the little bits of cofetti that stuck.

It would be nice if the bags fit more snugly -- the top kind of hangs out of the basket, and doesn't look all that neat -- but they are cheap plastic bags, after all.

There's absolutely no reason to pay $27 for 100 bags, when you can just use the cheap clear plastic office wastebasket liners (7 to 10 gallon) that sell for $18 for *500* at Costco, Sam's Club, etc. I just finished a major shredding job with my Fellowes DMC12, and used many of those.

These bags are extremely thin and rip just trying to open the bag. Not even good enough for a trash can, no less a shredder basket. I switched back to just normal trash bags after just using 2 bags because they only ripped opened and then I had to use another bag anyway.

These bags neither fit nor hold up well...in fact, they are pricey and useless. Just buy garbage bags and forgo the "Fellows" price gouging.Fellowes Powershred Waste Bags for Personal Shredders - 100 Bags In fact, although the Fellowes shredder is excellent, if all I knew about Fellowes was based upon their name upon these flimsy and overpriced plastic bags, I'd not purchase anything from them! - Shredder - Fellowes - Paper Shredder - Cross Cut Shredder'

Tomtom Xl 340tm - tomtom xl 340s, gps

just received my new GPS today, plugged it into my mac, and installed tomtom's mac version of their home software. everything has worked well so far and the free map update installed fine. there are two main things that purchasers need to know:

1) space is very limited on the device. there is only 2 GB of internal flash memory and out of the box there was less than 50 MB free. the very first thing you should do is to delete voices in languages you don't use. this will free up a couple/three hundred MB. they can get backed up to your computer so you could always put them back in the future. once a bit of space is freed up you'll be able to update the device without issue. after removing spanish and french voices, running update which installed a new dave voice, and then installing the free map update i was left with 89 MB free. when i tried to run update before removing the voices, the unit warned me about lack of space and aborted without creating any further problems. maybe the mac version of home is more robust than the windows one in this respect.

2) the device only supports USB 1.1 transfers which max out at a bit over 1 MB/sec and can be slower. so doing a full backup or a map update will take quite a while (1-2 hours) and this is normal.

for me, those limitations are more than offset by the large, bright screen, text2speech capability, crowd-sourced map/route updates, and cheaper southern africa maps (we're moving there soon). especially given the cheap sale price i found. i will provide updates as i put unit through paces on cross-country trip and then intercontinental move..... TomTom XL 340M 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (Lifetime Maps Edition)

I'm pretty tech savvy and have used different GPS devices in the past. I chose Tomtom over Garmin mainly due to tomtom HOME support, better user interface: tomtom has more info on the screen including the street name you're driving on.

Most negative reviews here are from issues updating map which is larger than the old one (about 5 Mb larger) and causes error.

but it's simple to go around it.

1. connect to home computer. turn the unit on. select Yes to connect. Tomtom Home will install on your computer.

2. on Tomtom HOME menu, go to "Manage my ONE XL". On Items on Device, click voices. you can back up then delete all foreign computer voices (recorded voice files are small, so doesn't matter). just keep DAVE, and Susan computer voices( you need at least one computer voice for spoken street names). You should free up about 130 Mb (much more than you need)

3. now you can update new map with no problem. it does take a long time. after you're done, you still have 125 Mb extra to download customized items, map corrections in the future. customized car symbols are really cool, as are start up and shut down images. these customized items and map corrections are so small: tiny to 0.5 Mb that with > 125 Mb free, you can keep updating for years to come.

Pros: 4.3 inch screen, great routing, advanced lane guidance (it does work well), IQ route (faster route based on historical traffic data), very quick GPS fix <30 sec (but you need to connect to computer at least every 7 days so that a GPS file can be updated to help fix signal quickly), a little longer for a cold start or if you forget to sync with your computer more than 7 days, but it's still around 1 minute or less to fix the signal. also very strong signal, almost full bar inside my house. Text to speech (for spoken street names) is computer voice, so it's OK. recorded voices are nicer but unable to do text to speech. the included Easyport mount is great, simple, stable.

Cons: the screen brightness at 100% is still not as bright as I want (I also use Tomtom Navigator 6 on my smartphone with better contrast, brightness) but you still can see fine on a sunny day. The computer voices for text to speech are not as clear when you drive and play music.

In summary, this tomtom has a lot of great features for the price. if you don't need bluetooth (for hands free call with your cell phone, which is not good anyway because your volume always appears tiny to the other end), FM transmitter (which is not practical if you need to play your CD in the car), or live traffic receiver (which is spotty based on the info I've read), This 340S is the one to get. most people own smartphones these days with internet, so they can get live traffic, up to date points of interest from Google map, play mp3 and pictures. So you don't really need those features from a GPS device (which is more expensive)

This is my 3rd Tom Tom and i always buy them refurbished beacuse they look and work new (Comes with a 6 month warranty) ! I got the unit out of its box and immediately hooked it up to my computer. After a few seconds the unit started and connection was made ( if you never had a tom tom unit, it will download the software for you) i immediately clicked on "latest map guarantee" and it told me that there was a new map available and it was free for me to download ! It took me afew hours to do the download and get the new map and now i have a brand new map in my refurb unit :) I turned the unit on when i was in the car for the first time and it took 5 seconds for the unit to find where we were !

The screen is very big so it is very easy to enter address and do the settings. The lane assist feature is great now i know where to stay on the highway and never miss a turn. I used it under the train tracks( Bronx NY) and just like my older tom tom never lost any signal and kept up with my speed and turns. IQ routes are great it knows where there will be traffic (gets this info from mapshare not live traffic but uses historical data) and suggests other routes for you to take. Map share is great so even if your map gets old you still get updates from other drivers so it is like getting free maps everytime you hook the unit up to your computer.

Update 10/3/2010

I have been using this device for about 7 months and i am still very happy with it and not willing to upgrade or change it to another yet ! My rating is still 5 stars because this unit never failed on me ! did it give me 1 or 2 bad turns ? yes it did but this is acceptable and it was minor. Battery is still great gives me over 1 hr without the cord. Everything works perfectly so as i said before don't think twice just buy this refurbished unit ! - Tomtom Xl 340tm - Tomtom Xl 340s - Gps - Tomtom Gps'

Pre-kindergarte - scooter, pre-kindergarte

Two weeks ago we got Razor A Kick scooters for my 6 year old daughter and four year old son. Needless to say my two year old son wanted to keep up with the older kids and this scooter is perfect. Overall it is smaller than the Razor A, but has a wider sturdier base. Granted it does not go fast, nor does it have the maneuverability of the older kids' scooters, but my son is happy. He wanted his very own scooter and now he has it. There is no need for him to go fast or attempt to do any tricks. While the older kids are whizzing down the block he is right next to me putzing around, happy as can be. Also, my four year old will occasionally get off of his Razor A and get on the kiddie scooter. He can maneuver the kiddie scooter fine but doesn't ride it for very long because it lacks speed and he has to constantly keep pushing off with his foot.

Bottom line- It's a great scooter for 2-3 year olds. If your child is 4 or older, and remotely coordinated, get the Razor A Kick Scooter, they will like the speed and maneuverability way better. Razor Jr. Folding Kiddie Kick Scooter (Blue)

We were trying to decide between this and the Dora the Explorer scooter for Christmas. We finally decided to go with the Razor as it looked to be better built. It has been ridden on the street, the sidewalk, the kitchen floor and it has not had a single problem. It is quiet and solid and works as advertised. I was worried that it would be too difficult for a 4yr old to ride, but the 3rd wheel is just what she needed. This is a recent revision and includes a nifty feature: it folds up. My husband was quite happy with this. Eventually you will get to the bottom of the hill, the kid will not want to push it back up and you will be carrying it. This just makes it easier. Just a note: helmut is a MUST. They can really get some speed going and there is no good way to stop.

I'd rate this scooter average. My kid like's it. It seems sturdy & well assembled. My only issue is the friction on the wheels is too tight. I emailed razor and they said that is intentional. Pretty much all my 3yr can do is put one foot on and push with the other, by the time he tries putting the pushing foot on it has stopped. Hopefully they will loosen a little or I can assist them.

The two wheel razor scooters are great. We own three of them. However this three wheel version just isn't a good product. If you want a good scooter for a kids who is under 5, buy the Mini Micro (also called the Mini Kick). It's fantastic! Stable. Fast. Easy to ride. I know 18 month old kids who cruise around the play ground fast. My 3 1/2 year old daughter has used hers every day for the last 18 months. The razor three wheel scooter is heavy, slow and unstable. The front frequently falls over and is difficult to steer. We had one and I got rid of it because it was making my child unhappy. Please don't waste your money. Buy the Mini Micro, and then buy a two wheel razor when they turn 5. Then, when they're 8, buy a Grow Ped.

I bought this scooter for my 3 year old so he would have a good quality first scooter that also looked like his older brother's Razor scooter. The first one that arrived in the mail had the plastic around the wheels broken off so we had to return it. The second one arrived and has been fine ever since but I worry about all the plastic. With a boy riding it (and one already arriving broken), I wonder how long the plastic will hold up. Considering the regular Razors are all metal, I'm not sure why the base and unerside has so much plastic on it. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, it's a great first scooter.

This scooter has wheels that don't turn freely when a child is riding it. My three year old son can't even coast down a slight grade without having to push to prevent from coming to a stop. If he is on a level grade or going up any kind of incline the effort to push the scooter is restrained by the "genius" design of sticky bearings that prevent the wheels from turning. I tried to get this issue resolved with Razor and they were rude and demeaning. In fact I'm giving away a twice used model if you're interested. You're better of putting your kid on a piece of plywood with square wheels than buying this POS. - Razor Scooter - Scooter - Toddler Toys - Pre-kindergarte'

Philips Sonicare - electric toothbrush, philips

I purchased this toothbrush for my daughter and within 6 months is stopped working correctly. It now only works for the first cycle and stops when it is supposed to beep to let the child know to move on to the next section of teeth. I contacted Phillips Sonic Care customer service who had very nice and helpful customer service people. Every single one of them promise to send out a replacement one free with a return box to return the old defective toothbrush. I get a reference number, however NEVER receive the shipment. When I call back, I am told by another CS rep that they are not sure why the ticket was "closed" and then I am reissued another reference number with a promise to send a replacement one. This has been going on for almost 4 months now... with countless reference numbers. This company is a nightmare to deal with....

I've been using a Sonicare for a number of years and LOVE it so I was really excited when I found this Sonicare for kids at Target. The two different size brushes were perfect for my 8 & 6 year olds. Only two weeks into using the toothbrush, it stopped working. It seemed like the problem was caused by switching out the brushes for each of the kids. I was always the one doing the switch so I know that it wasn't being abused in any way. I returned to Target and happily exchanged for a new one. The same thing happened with the second one as well. It didn't last as long as the first one. I would NOT recommend this for anyone using it for more than one child.

First, let me say that I LOVE my adult Sonicare toothbrush. When the kids toothbrush came out, I was anxious to get it for my three boys, ages 7, 4, and 4, thinking it would help develop good brushing habits. We gave it to them at Easter. It is now late June, and I wanted to share my experiences and suggestions for improvement. The seven-year-old is doing fine with it, and he uses the "left" side for a gentler brushing. My complaints revolve around my younger boys. For some reason, the Sonicare brushes, at least in our family, generate a LOT of saliva. Even though we do the inside bottom last (where the salivary glands are), we have to make the child hang over the bowl to catch the volumes of drips. For some reason, this is not an issue with manual brushes, nor with other brands of electric toothbrushes. Yes, we only use a tiny dot of toothpaste. The trick is getting a fidgety four-year-old boy to stand still leaning over the sink for the full cycle. One of my boys can't stand the saliva build-up, and has to spit in between beeps. If I take the brush out of his mouth while it's still running, then the brush sprays saliva and toothpaste everywhere. If I turn it off, it forgets where it was in the cycle, and it thinks it's starting all over again, so we lose the built-in programming. On nights when they are extremely tired or grouchy, I can't do a quick brushing (just to maintain the rule of brushing every night). If I do, then I have to break another rule of going through the whole brushing sequence. Every parent knows that there are times that some things must be compromised (e.g. do I generate a bed time tantrum trying to make an exhausted child stand still for two minutes?) I understand that children should not be allowed to compromise the program. What I'd like to see is a 'refresh' button on the device, or a "secret" multi-button push that parents can use to get a shorter cycle. Lacking that, I'd suggest that you keep a manual brush available for those nights when you don't have the parental stamina to try to make your wiggly child stand still over the bowl for the full cycle. Or, get a drool cup :-) .

This toothbrush has been a real God-send for us. We use it on both our 3 year old daughter and our 2 year old boy (red head for the girl, blue for the boy). Despite diligent manual tooth-brushing, our daughter was having lots of pre-cavity symptoms like discoloration and white spots. After we started using this toothbrush her teeth cleaned right up and her gums look much healthier. The dentist was very pleased with her last check-up.

With our son the problem was a bit different. It took two of us to brush his teeth - one holding him down and the other trying to pry his mouth open and brush. After watching his sister getting brushed with the sonicare, he walked right up and popped his mouth open to be brushed too, and that has continued ever since! We just had his check-up and were told he has excellent oral hygiene.

One of the things that we like best about it is that the 4-7 year old size heads are just the right size, even for our 2 year old (who has been using it since he was 18 months). We had tried the cheaper oral-B electric toothbrushes and though the kids liked the characters on them, the brush heads were so bulky that it was difficult to get on the cheek side of the teeth and the quality of brushing doesn't even begin to compare to the sonicare. I know one of the reviews complains that the handle is too big, but we have not found that to be so. On the occasions that we let our 2 year old try to do his own teeth, he has no problem with the handle either. We are TOTALLY pleased with this toothbrush. We believe the initial cost and brush replacement costs are more than compensated for in savings at the dentists office. - Electric Toothbrush - Oral Hygiene - Philips - Kids'

This review is from: Rice Dream Rice Drink, Enriched Original, Now Organic, 8-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 27)My daughter (toddler) Is allergic to dairy and soy. We tried goat's milk to no avail and have finally happily settled on Rice Dream Enriched Original. She loves it and Even I like the taste. It's a little sweet and she picked it right up after a year of breastfeeding. With the addition of a multivitamin each day, my pediatrician has approved it's use. We purchase the 64 ounce size for $3.24 at a local store (about $0.05 an ounce.) I came online to look for a better price when purchasing in bulk. The price for these small 8 ounce containers is $0.16 per ounce and causes MUCH more packaging waste. I appreciate the convenience of having it in a small package for dining out, etc... but It's just as easy to take an insulated sippy cup and be more environmentally conscious. The Rice Dream Website sells the 32 ounce size but their price is $0.10 an ounce, without shipping costs. Not much advantage to purchasing online so far. I was hoping that Amazon would have a decent cost on the larger sizes with free super saving shipping, because I could stop shopping at Wal-Mart entirely.I have contacted Amazon to request that they carry the larger 64 ounce size in cases. The first time I called, the Customer Service Reps computer locked up and she requested that I call her back. The second time I called I was told to leave feedback on the product and that all feedback is read by Amazon and that it could make a difference and might increase the chance that the product would be carried in a larger size, due to demand....

This review is from: Rice Dream Rice Drink, Enriched Original, Now Organic, 8-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 27)Earlier this year, the FDA enacted a new rule forcing companies to take the gluten-free label from anything that has more than 20 ppm gluten. (I'm looking at you, Arrowhead Mills and Bob's Red Mill.)However, you can be right at 20 ppm, which makes a lot of celiacs sick, and still label yourself, "gluten free". (The rule should have said, "less than 20 ppm", not "20 ppm or less".)This is where Amazon is fantastic--they made the company list the gluten in this, so we know it's NOT gluten free. (I have yet to find a Hain's food product that was actually gluten free, although some of them are legally gluten free. Look for their name on the labels so you know what to avoid, even if they are hiding behind the federal law and they have labeled their products gf.)Pacific Rice Milk and Whole Foods' store brands of rice milk are gluten free, though. Buy those instead....

This review is from: Rice Dream Rice Drink, Enriched Original, Now Organic, 8-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 27)Rice Dream has a light, refreshing taste. You can drink this alone unlike soy milk which only tastes good when combined with other foods like cereal. The price here is outrageous though, especially for only 8oz containers....

Battery Charger - battery, charger

We have two new power wheels 12 volt batteries. They take a charge just fine with the charger that came with them. I bought this so we could use it as a rapid charger and it would take less time for the batteries to charge. I plugged them in and waited a few seconds. Both batteries had the flashing red indicating the batteries were either a wrong battery or bad. This will not charge the batteries for me. All it does is sit there and blink red. But the batteries charge just fine with the original charger. How can they be bad batteries if they hold a charge and we get hours of play out of them on a full charge. Funny that. Makes me wonder if it is a marketing ploy for people to run right out and buy a new $50 battery to replace the "bad" one. If it would actually work to charge the battery then it would be great. But we cannot get past the red light with ours. It is going right back to the store!!! It might be slower but we will stick with our original charger from now on. Power Wheels 12V Charger

The charger has been working very well. The lighted indicator and fast charging rate are my favorites. I definitely love this charger. Works very well on white and grey 12v batteries. Mine is a grey battery

This charger charged my son's power wheels within 3 hours to a full charge! Our orginal charger took about 12 hours to fully charge, but it quit working so we are so excited to have his truck driving again. I am very pleased with this product and the price I received!

this item was to assist in charging the power wheels truck second battery. Our grandson drives his truck often and a second battery charging while he used the first battery was just the ticket. This item works as advertised. Great service, highly recommended. Stan

Great charger, we had an old battery and the lights on the charger told me it was bad...which took the guessing work out of wether I should throw the battery out or not. It doesn't take long to charge the batteries at all.

This is a great charger and works great! As in all the other reviews, use it as instructed and it will save the day! I love the indicator lights that tell you when it is 80% charged and when it is 100% charged (80% being "quick charged" and can only be done every other time). We have 2 power wheels vehicles that use this type of charger and it works for both. With spring in swing it makes a huge difference especially when I've forgotten to charge at nite and I can still get 2 power wheels charged for use before the kids get home from school. - Charger - Battery - Accessories - Fisher Price'
