Some of the plusses are:* Can select address or city first* Has warning alarms for speeding and to keep you awake if you are drowzy* Very accurate coordinatesSome minuses are:* Could have a louder speaker* Occasionally has problems locking onto satellite* Have not found alternate voices for directions (i.e. male vs. female, etc.)Overall, for $40 refurbished, you get a GPS unit that will do what it needs to do. If you want more, you will have to pay more....

A GPS is awesome once you figure out how to get it to do what you want it to do! Unfortunately there was a lot of new construction in the area that I was in, and the GPS didn't like my choice of roads to drive....
