The kernels are too tough and and I use orville redinbacher. This brand of popcorn cooked any other way would be light and fluffy not hard to chew and with many unpopped. I begin to see why they include an unpopped kernel catcher. The pan is too small so the kernels do not have time to fall back when pushed up during popping so they come out with the rest of the popped corn. Maybe too this is why the machine is no longer available here. I do not know why the texture difference though but must be due to poor design since as stated most other methods of cooking the same popcorn will result in melt in your mouth kernels.....
