This review is from: Arkansas Tri-Hone Knife Sharpener - 3 Stones 8\"I was worried that the six inch sharpening stone would be too small from reading the reviews...So, I went to the larger stone. This sharpening stone does not have a step by step tracking system through Amazon, so I just had to wait through the projected delivery estimate. Uppon the last day of projected delivery, I had still not seen my sharpening stone. So, I emailed the seller.I got a very prompt response, and an immediate replacement shipped out. Several days later, the sharpening stone arrived. The sales representative took care of everything. He was very professional, and very responsive. With customer service like that, you can't loose! The product it's self is exactly the quality I expected. The wood base is sturdy, definately not the heaviest lumber, but not balsa wood either; and the oil bottle fits firmly in it's place. The stones are good and solid, and there is a label at the end of the block to help you determine the coarseness of the stone you are using. The stones do appear to be glued to the central piece of wood, and on mine, they are slightly misaligned, but not to the point of making the stone un-useable by any means. The stones come with a little instruction sheet folded into the packadging. I placed mine back under the stones after use in the groove of the stand. They are clear, and easy to follow. The stone it's self is easy to use, and the right size for my large forged kitchen knife.I have never used a sharpening stone before, but being displeased with the rod sharpener that came with my knife, I decided to go for it. This stone is great. My knife was slowly dulling, and the metal rod sharpener that came with it wasn't helping. I used this stone once, and redeemed the precise sharpness that I had been missing.I am very pleased with this product, and with the phenominal customer service....
This review is from: Arkansas Tri-Hone Knife Sharpener - 3 Stones 8\"If you spend any time at all handling a knife.....then you know how dangerous it is to use a dull knife. You'll end up using too much force and pushing way to hard. When the blade slips....you get cut. I had been looking for a month for an Arkansas tri stone when I found this deal...typically Amazon is an overpriced shopping experience nowadays.....you can usually find better deals elsewhere. But this was the exception to the rule. This tool was a great deal and more importantly was the right size. Most of the natural stones on Amazon are tiny...useless...garbage. SERIOUSLY...
