They became popular in the 19th century and recently have seen a surge in popularity especially in the USA. These thin tortas are actually more like crispy cookies. They are a light and healthy dessert, simply made with flour, water, yeast and olive oil. All the ingredients are natural with no preservatives added. They may be enjoyed with tea and coffee, wine and cheese, or as a delicious snack on their own any time of day. They are available in four flavors.
