This review is from: Motorola WR850G Wireless Broadband RouterI was skeptical of buying this router. Primarily because I couldn't find any reviews on it. But I like Motorola products. I decided to buy it. I must say that this router is great. It's small and stylish so it doesn't take up a lot of clutter. It has a lot of features such as port triggering and virtual servers and parental controls among all the other features you would expect from a wireless broadband router. It also includes WPA support with either TKIP or AES encryption.I also get excellent signal and quality throughout my house. Too bad the other manufacturer's don't make routers as good as this one.So if your looking for a stable router, you can't go wrong with the WR850G....

This review is from: Motorola WR850G Wireless Broadband RouterThis is a great router especially if you have more than one. This router is one of the few within its price range that supports WDS bridging. I have one connected to the cable modem and the second one is connected to my ReplayTV over a WDS bridge. What this basically means is that my wireless network is extended via wireless connection. It's a very nice feature. The only thing I do not like about the router is that it doesn't support DHCP static address assignment. This was not enough to lower my rating for it though....

This review is from: Motorola WR850G Wireless Broadband RouterAfter my lengthy research and many reviews I have read, I decided to go with Motorola and I'm so happy for that! The configuration wizard makes the setup very easy, especially web-base interface. It has a full load of security feathers, which if you don't really care it, your life will be easier. But I'm kind of a guy who wants to utilize all the feathers it has, so I played around with it. It took me a little while since I don't have much knowledge of networking and try to get to understand of what feature does what. But eventually, the security setup went so well.Range depends on the location of the unit. For my place, there is no choice I have to put it against the wall but so far reception is good even if it has to pass all 5 walls to my bedroom! This is so cool. I put it next to 5.8GHz phone and tried to jam it with Bluetooth device (2.4GHz) but it doesn't seem to have problem at all, only a noise level increase a little bit. I've been online for hours already and it is so stable. My card is Motorola's WN825G... they make great couple....
