I have Att carrier and prior to purchase called Amazon to verify that is working with Att. Phone is coming from some Muslim country, and is equipped with a Quran, prayer times Adnah and Du'a, Qiblah direction !! plus can't remove Abu Dhabi from World clock to set USA city and time. It is annoying, because I m orthodox. Showing Abu Dhabi local time, calendar is from 1980 so I can't change date nor time. Very disappointing, called customer service and they e mailed me prepaid return label and they will refund the phone....

As Dora says it's a phone mainly destined to middle east countries, which you would see operating it, and to be fair in the box picture shown in the product page you do kind of see it (those noodles i don't understand), although they don't mencioned it in the description; being agnosticist i don't care for it since i can simply choose not to use it or remove it when i know how, don't see a reason to complain about those apps, they're important in muslim, i don't share but respect it, it's a cultural thing. Again with the phone, it also has english and french languages, not spanish though, i don't mind but miss the "ñ", sure there is a way to add that caracter somehow, no sweat. Had no problem setting my country time zone nor the calendar (default year is 1980, but easily adjustable as in any other electronic product with calendar. I'm no gizmo geek in any way and within 20 min had every basic thing (and a bit more) set up, even without reading the manual and being the first time using Samsung's OS, have a couple of things to figure out yet but no big deal....
