I've had mine mounted of the inside of a cabinet door for probably 40 years. Always at hand, always ready, always a good job, and no hassle. I've just bought 4 for my children for Christmas. Their generation always goes for the high tech. Time to learn that simple can be best....

All growing up my mom had the exact same sharpener and for at least 25 years it worked great and was always attached right to the cabinet door. It took be a couple years for me to find one like it, but thanks to Amazon, I did. I recommend it fully....
