After missing two appointments, I needed rescue. My clock arrived quickly in good shape, I inserted the batteries, and it set itself. I tested the alarm and it is loud enough but not annoying. I still cringe when I remember the clanging like a fire bell from a clock my husband brought to our marriage. That clock mysteriously disappeared. I can read this one without my glasses and in the dark I can push a button to light up the dial and not have to turn on the bedside light. What more can I ask?...
This review is from: Seiko Advanced Technology Bedside Alarm Get Up and Glow ClockI bought this clock to replace the same model that my wife has had for too many years to remember. The alarm switch on her clock stopped working and even though we thought it should have lasted longer, she liked the clock so much that she wanted another one just like it. The clock itself is of moderate size, but the display is a large portion of the front of the clock, which makes it easy to read from a distance. I can only say that it is a nice clock that meets the description on the Amazon site. It has lasted at least over 7 years without a problem. Since my wife is rather frugal, it indicates to me that she felt she received adequate service from the product over what she thought was a reasonable lifetime. I do not have an alternative way to measure the performance of this clock other than her relative satisfaction. Accordingly, we believe 4 stars is a fair assessment....
