The HP Technical Support promised via the warranty information was useless, nobody could help with a webcam at the telephone support center, and on-line customer support just referred me back to telephone support. I finally gave up and returned it.
This review is from: HP RZ406AA Hp 2MP Webcam for NotebooksI can't accurately judge picture quality or sound on this product, because I could never even get my HP laptop running Windows Vista to recognize the device, even after downloading the proper driver from HP's own website. After spending literally an entire day checking online, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, and going through various other methods of getting it to respond, it was just a dead piece of junk. So, even though there is a driver for Windows Vista on the HP website, do NOT buy this if you want to run it on Vista. No matter what you do it simply will not work. Perhaps if you have XP (although the Vista driver is also supposedly the one for XP) it may work better, but I do not know. Aside from my HP laptop, which was a gift, every other thing I've ever had or used that was HP was complete garbage, and this product is no exception.[...]

My son who is in the air force in Great Britain says the picture quality he receives is really clear and sharp when we use Skype. This camera is a real bargain compared to the competition.
