This review is from: Clip Lamp Alarm ClockMy daughter recently got a loft bed and we were looking for an alarm clock that she could use up there. She had a clip on light for reading that did the trick, so this seemed like it would combine two funtions in one device. There are a couple of problems. First, the light isn't really bright enough to read by - it's quite dim. Second, the clock is on top of the light. If you have the light positioned so that it shines light down onto your book, you can't actually see the clock display. If you position it so you can see the clock, you can't read by the light.Oh, and the bulb burned out after less than a week of use, and it's not a common size and you need a tiny phillips head screwdriver to change it. Not exactly convenient. Back to the drawing board....
This review is from: Clip Lamp Alarm ClockFirst off, I have to say that Amazon has been great with their customer service in replacing the light when it malfunctioned (the alarm stopped working, as did the light bulb) when I no longer had the original packaging.That said, the light is just not great quality. After it was replaced, the light went out again (it wasn't that bright in the first place) and I still have no idea what size light bulb it is. Here is customer service's response when I asked what it was:The light bulb that is needed is a 12 watt light bulb. I do not have aspecific store or location that would carry the light bulb but I dorecommend going to an automotive parts store.Well, the clock part appears to still work, but my wife hasn't tried the alarm part on the new clock in a while. Overall, I WISH I liked this product, but it just isn't there....
