My older Netgear router had a bulging capacitor which caused it to make a high pitched noise. The only draw back is that the router does not come with an instruction manual, or an installation CD. If you are familiar with setting up a router, this is not a problem. You can easily find the default username and password online. There really isn't anything to setup except for the wireless setting, and changing the password. The router is setup to work right out of the box. Given the price, I am happy with the purchase....
