It is not as easy to set-up as stated on Amazon's site and on the box. On the Amazon site it lists all it wonderful capabilities, but does not tell you that it does not support wireless printing; while it does say this on the box if you are ordering this product you will not know this until you receive the item.CONS: Software glitches that effect connecting products to this router. Belkin's website is hard to use and not helpful. No indicator lights for the Ethernet Ports making it harder to troubleshoot connection problems. Does not support wireless printing. This product is back in the box for use if my Linksys stops working and it will go back in the box when I purchase another router....

...not to mention my fundamental suspicion about of products labeled as "reconditioned (on the box) or "recertified" (on the Amazon listing)...especially when the manufacturer provides no information on what this means to the consumer.I've been using wireless networking products for nine years, and remember well the pain that first generation 802.11 products inflicted on users. Happily, those days are gone. Even with the reservations I have about this product, it delivered basic wired and wireless connectivity out of the box within a minute of beginning the setup...a far cry from what the first 802.11 offerings in 2002.However, nagging deficiencies in the overall user experience of this router make it less than ideal for those with expansive connectivity needs (and especially if you use multiple wired ports on a daily basis). So while I'm not ready to turn over my regular heavy lifting networking chores to this router, I will retain it as a spare should my long running Netgear WGT624 router bite the dust. Pros:-relatively compact footprint-quickly went from the box to basic wired and wireless connectivity-allows initial configuration to be performed wirelessly (some routers require a wired connection for initial setup).Cons:-No visible indicator lights for the 4 wired Ethernet ports. All of my ports are currently occupied (with a desktop PC, a weather station, the bundled telephone adapter from my cable provider and a NAS connection). Being able to have rapid insight into the connection status activity of these connections is essential. Such feedback is absent from this router. You'll be leaning around the back to visually inspect which ports are connected, and still have no indicators of activity on those ports.-The included setup and control utilities are --to say the least-- clunky and non-intuitive. I was prompted for passwords even after disabling them, and it retained the factory SSID even after I applied changes. Many basic functions (such as an attached devices list) were not readily available. I'm experienced at configuring routers, and found the menu and interface inferior to what I've experienced with other manufacturers. -Belkin's support area is unhelpful and intrusive. From the homepage, only product searches are available, and the link to its support/customer service service area is inexplicably hidden at the bottom of the page. Once in the support area, you have to decide between "search for answers" and "ask a question". My question about this: What the heck ? BTW, the "search for answers" allows searches of knowledge base type content. If you choose the "ask a question" option, you'll have to drill down many layers of topical dropdown options AND provide an email address. Unacceptable. I never found the definitive answer to what either "reconditioned" or "recertified" meant relative to this product.-The router's configuration utility indicated its firmware was current, while the support web site indicated a newer version was available. Which should a user believe? -With only a single power/activity light, this has an overly spare appearance. It's also very light...it just doesn't feel substantial in any way.Bottom lines:--Is this a terrible router? No.--Is this an acceptable router if you only need a single wired connection. Maybe.--Is this a router to choose if you will be regularly connecting multiple wired devices to it ? No...unless you are satisfied with no visual feedback on the connection status of those devices. This complaint is not about fascination with blinkenlights; this is about providing fundamental information to the user in meaningful way. For this price, I'm keeping it around in case my current router (free of the above shortco...
