I knew the Zojirushi's were excellent and was tempted. But...with more study, we found the Secura 4 - liter pot at a SUPER price + free shipping. It arrived today and is VERY nice for the cost. It heats well, stainless body looks great and it works as it should. The instruction sheet is complete enough and simple to understand. It is 700 watts, but no indication where it is manufactured. I'm guessing, China. What isn't made there today? A lot of big name companies are producing products there to cut costs. Look at the back of your appliances labels. The Secura, is a very nice unit for the price. The inside is all stainless steel, not Teflon, which some folks don't like. The water dispenser can be activated by a large push button or you can push the small labeled button on the front of the machine to get hot water. It has a reboil button. Once the proper temp. is reached, it holds it there. It also has a built in warning(shut-off) in case it runs dry, which you will never do! Right?I'd recommend the unit, it seems as good as others name brands I've used, and what a buy! Don't know if the life will be long, but I've heard about 3 years if used EVERYday with other brands we are familiar with, time will tell....

I like coffee and my wife drinks tea, with this water kettle and we have hot water available all the time. What I like the most is the non coated stainless steel interior. The water out of this boiler tastes fresh, unlike my previous boiler with coated interior which had a trace of plastic smell in the water. Well, I know the plastic coating is to protect the boiler, but I spent my money to get a boiler, I really hoping it works for me. Stainless steel is the only material proven to be safe for contact with food....
This review is from: Secura Electric Water Boiler and Warmer AirPotThis hotpot boils water really fast. We like the water capacity, 5 quart, do not need to refill frequently. At the beginning, we worried about the energy consumption to reheat the water, maybe we should go with 4 quart hotpot. The 1 quart more water capacity probably cost a few cents more electric per week, but we don't have to disconnect power, bring it to the sink, add water, take it back and plug in that often. It holds up heat pretty good, once it boiled, it seals the temperature and does not need to reheat very often....
