Claiming HD a 1600x1200 is just totally out of line. At 640x480 it is just OK, after that, compression and fuzziness is king. The supplied program AMCAP it uses is from 1998. Maybe with a software upgrade it can possibly do what they say, but as it sits now, it is just a cheap camera. I can't even see a reason to use the suppied software. If anything it is worse than nothing. I just turned of all automatic focus and exposure and set it myself, and it works fine like that. But don't expect it to work like the description has you believe. It is pretty much junk.Maybe another program can make it work better, but skype isn't one of them. It's better than my 10 year old camers, though the software that came with that was better. I think you should spend more and in this case, get more..
