The side-by-side current speed and posted speed limit is like a heads-up display. The map zooms in as you approach your turn and pans out otherwise automatically.The Bluetooth phone connection is a plus. Great audio quality and allows hands free cell calling (needed in many states).The lifetime chart updates is an added benefit....

The selling features for me were the blue tooth capability (that I admit I have not used in the month I have owned the unit) and the live traffic feature. The traffic alert was not as up to date as I hoped, because by the time I was alerted to the problem, I was in the traffic. A feature that I have grown to really appreciate is that when driving into bright sunlight, the screen does not complete "wash out" and allows me to see the turns that are approaching. The turn by turn directions are excellent. For some reason, the unit recalibrates often and sometimes at the most inappropriate time. Also, in the evening, if it is the least bit cloudy, it has difficulty locating te satellites. This happens when my satellite radio seems to have no difficulty at all. I would not recommend to a friend....

I must say that I was pleased that this nuvi offered some of the same features as my previous one such as the bluetooth feature, traffic and text to speech. However this one offered lifetime map and traffic updates which is a definite plus. This product is being offered at a great value and I definitely recommend this to anyone seeking a reliable GPS unit....
