The display is easy to see, however, you can not dim the display sufficiently to satisfy those who find the intense light disturbing to their sleep.The real problem is the alarm. It is not loud enough to wake me, it starts off very faint, and stays there. Does not gain in intensity, and shuts off too soon.This may be a manufacturing problem,but I did not return it, because the shipping costs would make the total cost of the clock too high. I purchased a Brookstone through Amazon, which is easier to operate, and the alarm is loud enough to wake me, with its increasing intensity. Also has high customer ratings. I can't recommend this product....
