Smith's Diamond 6 x 5 Bench Stone

This extra long Diamond Bench stone offers the ultimate in sharpening technology. It features multiple layers of micro-sized moncryystalline diamonds banded in nickel to a flat metal surface. The unique overlapping oval hole design speeds sharpening by collecting and holding the metal filings which ordinarily build up during the sharpening process. This allows the sharpening surface to remain clean and clear and speeds sharpening. This stone is excellent for use on large knives and woodworking tools. Features: Molded plastic base with non-slip rubber feet for safety Clear plastic lid protects the stone Micro-tool sharpening pad for small tools Coarse diamond stone sets your edge 325Grit Fine diamond stone finishes your edge 750Grit

This review is from: Smith\'s Diamond 6 x 5 Bench StoneThis 6" x 2.5" stone is made well and the size easily handles a 2.5 inch No.7 Jointer plane iron. The coarse and fine should be enough to handle most of your sharpening needs for under 50 dollars total. I use water to lubricate the stone and it works flawlessly. The rubber feet on the stand make use easy whether I am in the house at my desk or at the bench in the workshop....

This review is from: Smith\'s Diamond 6 x 5 Bench StoneI've never sharpened a knife before until I started grinding my own meat. At that time I realized that every knife in my house was dull and it made my job extremely hard. Instead of purchasing new knives, I figured I would try the diamond stone. I'm so glad I did because this is so simple to use and every knife in my house is so sharp that I banned my wife from using some of them because she may be beautiful but she is truly a clutz. This is a tiny investment that made every knife better than when they were new. Don't be afraid of this purchase....

This review is from: Smith\'s Diamond 6 x 5 Bench StoneI'm fanatical about keeping my knives sharp, and with a sharpening stone that doesn't develop a "belly" with time, this thing is great. All you need is something to hone a freshly sharpened knife, and you're right as rain!Remember to NEVER use water on this thing while sharpening; just clean the diamond surface of metal, and you're good to go....
