The quality of the pictures is fantastic and it is so simple. The touchscreen, which I was on the fence about, is extremely responsive. Color is perfect. I would buy it a thousand times over.

Panoramic mode is great & the video quality & great.The only drawback (& I'm not sure how it compares to other cameras), but it might be a tad slow on snapping the shot. I have kids & it's hard to get the perfect pic, so I have to snap right before what I think will be perfect timing...but I'm sure it's the same with other cameras...

I did a little research, and this camera had some descent reviews at several consumer sites. We take a lot of photos and I bought this camera for my wife to carry in her purse. The camera is small, light, and takes better pictures than I expected. I am not crazy about the slide cover, and would have preferred an automatic slide on the lens, but it is nice that the cover turns the camera on and off. I recommend this camera and would buy it again. I do recommend buying a case or something to keep it in to prevent the touchscreen from being scratched. Do not buy the cases through Sony, because you will pay considerably more than on Amazon.
