This review is from: Snap-On 5120 Carbide Knife SharpenerI have usually used a wetstone to sharpen knives, but I tested this little unit with my backup kitchen knife - cutco with tons on nicks from my eariler kitchen days. It took about 10 strokes, medium force, to get those out, but afterwards look out! sharper than stock, with a system you can't mess up (real stone sharpening is more accurate and pulls off less metal, but is easy to mess up). Great device for a kitchen knife, pocket knife, etc....
