The design is light weight & compact with no knobs & buttons to get caught or pulled off in the luggage. The operation of this clock is very straightforward - none of this "press for 3 seconds & then for 2 seconds" nonsense. The alarm is not loud but persistent enough to wake one. Every traveler should have one....
This review is from: Equity by La Crosse 31017 Digital Travel alarm clockWe had two of these Equity 31017 Travel Alarm Clock with LCD Screen for years and absolutely loved them. Mine eventually stopped working and I ordered a new one, in spite of some negative reviews I read online. When I received it, I put in new batteries and immediately there was a problem. I could see the digits only if I tilted the clock at a certain angle. When I tried to use the light to view numbers during the night, the light worked intermittently. I contacted the store where I bought it, and they are supposed to be sending me a new one. I'll see how that one works!...

And because I don't wear wristwatches I like to have a little one to carry in my purse, backpack etc. I so liked the design of this one that I bought a few as backups. I kinda wish I hadn't at this point and I'll tell you why. When you push the switch all the way to the right, that's the 'off' alarm position. However, sometimes the alarm icon still shows up regardless and the alarm goes off. Couldn't figure out the problem at first but now I know to push it a few times hard to get it to go off. I only bought this a few months ago so it's still pretty new. I like the design, it works fine as long as I remember to check to make sure that the icon isn't showing up. Or flashing like a ghost which happens sometimes. Maybe if you didn't use it as often as I use mine then it'd be fine. But I use other small travel clocks a lot and have never had this problem before with any of them....
