This review is from: Glowing LED Color Mood Changing Digital Alarm Clockpurchased this product for my 12 year old daughter. The colors change with each hour...very cool (she loved that). However, the lights lasted only less than a year, and cannot be replaced. And with a burned out bulb, the time could not be seen in the dark. It functioned this way for another 6 months or so, and now has stopped working altogether. Also, I purchased two of these (purchased at Lakeside Collection for a great price) because we liked them so well, but the other one wouldn't work at all and needed to be returned. For a novelty gift for a child, it is fine (she also liked that it functioned as a night light), just don't expect it to last very long....

This review is from: Glowing LED Color Mood Changing Digital Alarm ClockThis is a fun and beautiful (somewhat small clock). Maybe not bought to last forever but more of a novelty. I realized I couldn't run it on batteries alone as the batteries 4xAAA will only last days if the light is glowing all the time. Just to be clear the AAA batteries run the LEDs not the clock itself. I got a universal A/C adapter off of EBay for around 6 dollars Not shopping around. The specs you need are that it has a 4.5 voltage output and has an option or is set to negative polarity. Mine came set to negative. The plug I used was a 3.5 mm X 1.35mm female plug. The male prong was not aligned very well and i had to fiddle with it a bit to get it to fit. I am talking about the male prong one on the clock just to be clear:)....

This review is from: Glowing LED Color Mood Changing Digital Alarm ClockPros: It's cheap, display is big, has a dc port, says the time, day, month, temperature, and year. It has an alarm and the buttons are easy to navigate once you begin to use them. Changes color (red, blue and green) when you press a button sometimes or when it wants to.Cons: If you are not using DC 4.5 volt power, you will need 2 sets of batteries (4 AA for the light, and 2 round silver lithium-ion batteries, I don't know which one.) If you insert the wrong voltage into the DC and leave it there for 5 seconds, it will burn up very fast and the light won't work. Also, the instruction says it has 7 modes: birthday, time, alarm, and 4 more. However, only mine has time and alarm. Plus, I have only seen the colors red, blue, green, cyan sometimes, yellow very rarely, and orange once. Plus when you put the AA batteries in they easily pop out, the light stops working, and it is very annoying. Conclusion: Your basic alarm clock. Other features are OK. Good for kids but not for adults....
