YOU DO HAVE TO MOVE THE PLASTIC TRAY FROWARD BEFORE EMPTYING THE KETTLE AFTER THE POPPING STOPS, AND FOR THE CLEANING, JUST REMOVE THE KETTLE OFF THE TWO HINDGES AND SCAPE OUT THE BURNT BITS WITH ONE OF THOSE LITTLE WIRE BRUSHES WITH THE HANDLE ON IT. The little Bambino makes nice popcorn. More than enough for one person, not enough or barely enough for two. I chose it was the smallest kettle-type popcorn maker I could find, given I have little storage and counter space to spare. Given the size accessing the kettle is cramped and when you dump out the popcorn some may fall out the front. Since lid of kettle cannot be removed, cleaning the kettle can be challenging. Over-all happy with The Little Bambino....
