She is very interested in photography and has had several point and shoot cameras. What she really wanted was an expensive SLR. Instead I bought her this camaera and she is very happy with it. It takes great pictures, has many of the same features of an SLR camera, yet was affordable and practical for a sixteen year old. She is learning to change the settings, aperature, etc. for the different pictures she takes. Love it!
