This review is from: 13-Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 External Hub, BlackIt's almost impossible to find a USB hub with more than 7 ports. This one has 13, I'm using 10 and planning to fill the entire thing. It's well designed, elegant and doesn't take up much room (it's about 4" x 4" [100mm x 100mm]). I sure hope they introduce a similar unit when USB 3.0 takes hold.And, it even works - I've had no problems whatsoever....
This review is from: 13-Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 External Hub, BlackThis USB hub would get a five star rating except for some strange behavior after I got enough USB devices plugged in. The microphone on my USB headset would lose audio after about 20 seconds when my printer was plugged into one of the other USB ports. Without the printer plugged in the microphone would work fine. Starting a new call in Skype would make the audio work again for another 20 seconds. With previous USB hubs this has never been an issue. Other than that, the USB hub shipped quickly and the ports are all easy to use: not too snug or too loose. Possibly with a different set of devices this would be an excellent hub.Update: After some further debugging it appears that my set of USB devices also malfunctions when daisychaining two seven port hubs together. At a guess, this 13 port hub may be implemented internally with a daisy chain between two 7 port hubs (didn't get a chance to look at the chipset inside). In any case I returned the hub and received a refund promptly. Once again, this is probably an excellent hub for many USB setups....
