I contacted Magellan to see if the unit was eligible for the 30 day map update. The unit is, but I was told the only update is the currently installed 2008-2009 map set. The unit apparently has compatability problems with recent Magellan Map updates. I used the 4350 two times and found it to be a good unit at a great price, but two year old maps makes it unreliable. A GPS can only be as good as the maps and databases it run from!...

Do not buy this unit.I ordered a refurbished 4350 (not from Amazon) and it would not maintain a signal. I was lucky if it held the signal for 10 minutes. Very frustrating as I was on a trip from Arizona to Florida. It even had all of the prior owners information in the phone book so Magellan obviously didn't even reload the operating system onto it after it was sent back by the original owner.When I returned home I complained and was sent another refurb unit. This one wouldn't even acquire a signal AT ALL.The second one was sent back and I am waiting on a NEW unit to be sent.Also the maps are 2 years old!Do yourself a favor and buy another GPS brand...from Amazon....
