This review is from: Notebook Pro 2.0 VGA WebcamI don't have much experience with webcams, but my wife & I tried a much more expensive webcam from HP and it didn't quite work as good as this little webcam from Ezonics which is a brand I never heard of. My wife only uses the video part of the webcam when she uses Yahoo messager to communicate to her relatives in the Philippines from our home in California with our HP laptop. The Ezonics has a video resolution of 1280 X 960 and a still picture resolution of 4MP. Most other webcams that I found that had a comparable resolution of the Ezonics brand costed over $100, so for only $50 or less I think the Ezonics webcam is a steal. The unit also comes with a headphone/mic and software that is real easy to install. If you are looking for a decent webcam that won't break the bank I recommend this one!
This review is from: Notebook Pro 2.0 VGA WebcamI bought this for my sister so that we could do some video chats. It has really been a disappointment. Focus doesn't ever seem to provide a clear image or even change the focus much. Lots of things are blurry and the resolution is much less than I had hoped for. Her bandwidth isn't T1 or anything, but I have had much better results from someone with another web cam on a slower connection. This hasn't come close to 4 megapixel or 30 frames per second for us (it seems more like 1-2 megapixel and 12-15 frames per second).
